What is your favorite public health experience and why?
“My favorite public health experience was when I launched my first social marketing campaign. The campaign was an anti-homophobia and HIV prevention campaign targeting Black Gay men in New York City. It was my first campaign, and I was incredibly nervous about the campaign rollout. In the end, it all came together perfectly.”
What is your proudest public health moment and why?
“My proudest public health moment was when I surpassed the 300-person attendee goal for the Alzheimer’s Association’s African American Caregiving & Wellness Forum. It had been a goal of the Association and mine, and I was finally able to reach it thanks to hard work, patience, and the marketing knowledge I obtained from my master’s in International Marketing program.”
What public health advice would you like to give?
“Follow your passion and leave with grace and respect when the passion is gone. Staying after your passion is gone helps no one.”
